Rose McGowan Blames Cocaine for Split with Marilyn Manson

Now that’s a real talk! On June 25^th, Rose McGowan participated in Watch What Happens Live, where she unveiled some details on her arresting engagement with celebrated rocker Marilyn Manson. Unfortunately, their engagement was over in 2001 because of ‘lifestyle differences’.

McGowan, 41, explained exactly what the final factor was. The actress replied ‘Scarface’, referencing the crime movies shot in 1932 and 1983 that featured very hard drug use. Rose asked Andy Cohen to think what ‘Scarface’ was about. Andy muttered that coke and suggested that Manson had done too much blow, but the actress hadn’t been down for it.

McGowan only replied that it had been her. Actually she didn’t know. The actress pleaded the Fourth…saying that she was always honest. (The celebrated couple were engaged for nearly two years till they split up in 2001. Rose made a statement, in which she famously noted that there was great love, but their lifestyle difference was, unluckily, even greater. After that breakup, the actress married Davey Detail in 2013, while Marilyn, 46, romanced with Dita Von Teese and Evan Rachel Wood.)

Their former romance still evokes much curiosity. Another caller asked the Rose about the pros and cons of dating the rock star. She reflected that perhaps the bomb threats had sucked… that got boring after some time. (Manson’s shows notoriously get bomb threats, resulting in common cancellations).

McGowan mentioned cocaine again, after the question about a reunion for ‘Charmed’ was asked. The actress joked of Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano, her co-stars, that she hoped they were all high on coke and drunk, then added that maybe.
